The South Korean actor is as sweet and lovable as the roles he plays on TV.
Anyone who watches K-dramas will remember Lee Jae Yoon as the kind, gentle doctor in 2016’s Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo. Even if you don’t, you would certainly stop to notice him.
At 1.86m tall, and with a chiselled jaw, bulging biceps, as well as washboard abs, this hunk, who was here for the Puma Night Run, cuts a fine figure.
To top it off, he’s the hopelessly romantic sort we wish our partners to be. Just look at his replies to our questions. *Swoons*
What’s your fitness routine like?
I do Brazilian Jiu-jitsu two or three times a week, and for four hours each time. I also like swimming. Recently, I started lifting weights in the gym, and working on my arms, chest, back and shoulders. It’s quite fun.
And your diet?
I like trying out new stuff. When I travel to other countries, I’d order five or six different dishes to try. In Singapore, I had laksa and Hokkien mee. I love spicy Korean food. And chocolate, too.

Were you ever chubby or unfit?
Never. I’ve always been sporty since young. My father’s my biggest inspiration. He’s really athletic and used to do a lot of martial arts. He holds a black belt in taekwondo and did kung fu. He was a big fan of Bruce Lee, so we had posters of Bruce Lee everywhere at home when I was a kid. I was inspired to be like Bruce Lee, an Asian guy who represented Asian toughness. After watching his films, I bought two dumbbells to get fit!
What’s your favourite body part?
[Laughs] My arms. They’re long and useful for grabbing stuff, like a monkey. I love that I can pick food from the table easily.
What’s on your fitness bucket list?
I want to try new sports, like boxing, and martial arts. I recently started learning surfing in Bali. Standing on the surfboard in the ocean and watching the sunset is so beautiful.
(Because Lee Jae Yoon is so fit, we decided to do a plank interview with him! Watch him answer more questions in the video below.)
What’s your idea of a romantic date?
Swimming together in the ocean, diving together… stuff like that.
Describe yourself in five words.
Fit. Kind. Funny. Happy. Active.
What’s the sweetest thing you’ve done for a woman?
I’m always sweet.
What’s your first impression of women in Singapore?
They’re really kind, polite, and beautiful.
What would you say to your Singapore fans?
Hello. Thank you for all the love. I would love to come back again.
